Monday, June 16th

Morning Tour: 9:20 - 10:00 AM Optional NCRAAO Opening Session

Plan to attend the opening session of the conference with your better half, and find out what classes he/she will be attending while you are enjoying some fine Wisconsin activities. 

10:15 AM Meet in lobby of Regency for Bus departure to Heritage Hill Sate Historical Park.  

Heritage Hill State Historical Park is a 48-acre living historical education center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Heritage Hill is committed to enriching the lives of visitors of all ages by nurturing a deeper understanding and appreciation of the history of Northeastern Wisconsin and its people. Visitors are invited to explore historic buildings in four distinct areas of the park representing various periods of Northeastern Wisconsin’s rich heritage and interact with interpreters who bring their bygone era to life. Lunch: 12:00 PM Picnic style lunch will be served at Heritage Hill.
Afternoon Tour: 1:00 PM Bus departs for Bay Beach, where visitors will have a choice of touring the Wildlife Sanctuary or Amusement Park 

Bay Beach Amusement Park offers affordable entertainment for the whole family. Rides for the little ones and rides for teens and adults. Bay Beach Amusement Park serves more than one million guests each season.  Bay Beach has 16 amusement rides, a live pony ring, wading pool, and two concession stands. There is no admission charge to this park. Bay Beach Amusement Park focuses its efforts in trying to provide a safe, fun and affordable time for everyone.

 Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful 700-acre urban wildlife refuge.  It is one of the largest Wildlife Rehabilitation Sites in Wisconsin.  The Sanctuary is open to the public with no admission fee. The mission of this urban wildlife refuge is so people can interact with wildlife, plants and other natural resources through environmental education and recreation.

Tuesday, June 17th

Morning Tour: 9:15 AM Meet in lobby of Regency for Bus departure to Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. 

10:15 AM Arrive at the Door County Maritime Museum

Door County has been home to shipbuilding from the beginning of the 20th century, Sturgeon Bay has shipyards producing fishing trawlers, Navy vessels, ore carriers and some of the finest yachts in the world. Door County Maritime Museum has a chronological history of shipbuilding that begins in the mid 1800,s with Indian dugouts and birch bark canoes and continues to the present. At the Museum are scale models of boats and ships built in Sturgeon Bay including half-hull or plating models, corporate models and folk art models. There is also an exhibit on the area lighthouses with a full size replica of the lantern room of Sherwood Point lighthouse, complete with its 4th order Fresnel lens.
