Summary |
We will be covering how you can connect your
CAMA and GIS together with what is called views. Together we will
show how you can test the quality of your CAMA data, by display
land, sales, and building information in GIS. Also in our
presentation we will show how to correct the data and then display
those results. Stan will then show how you can use GIS
to model CAMA data with 3D Analyst, such as sale price and/or
appraised values. |

Scott Johnson - Since 1992, Scott has
continuously participated in appraisals of all classes of property
including residential revaluations, complete market and land
analysis in multiple counties and cities across the Midwest. Scott
has installed and trained on CAMA software in many states as well as
conducted workshops on CAMA software and many levels of mass
appraisal methodologies. His appraisal experience includes
Ringgold County Iowa Assessor from January 1992 thru October 1997,
which within that time he’s completed a residential reappraisal and
developed a computerized agricultural soil valuation system. From
November of 1997 to present Scott has done comprehensive market
analysis in over 50 counties in Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota and
Illinois. Scott has trained others on appraisal methodology
and CAMA Software in over 100 counties in Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota
and Illinois. Scott is currently the Senior Field Manager for a mass
appraisal company base in Iowa. Since 1992 he has continued to
promote the need for uniformity and consistency in mass appraisal
throughout the Midwest for ad valorem purposes.

Stan is responsible for GIS sales to county government entities in
the state of Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. He assists prospective
local government clients by providing educational presentations and
needs analysis surveys on GIS technologies. He also provides
technical information on GIS related mapping products and services
to prospective clients and offers solutions to address mapping and
data needs throughout county offices.
Stan also supports marketing and sales efforts by providing
technical software demonstrations and attending conferences.
Experience
Stan
has more than 30 years experience in the fields of assessment and
appraisal. Prior to joining Sidwell, Stan worked in county
government in the following jurisdictions:
