DESCRIPTION:

The City of Sheboygan is accepting applications for an experienced
City Assessor to be responsible for the valuation of all commercial,
residential, and personal property. Duties include training staff,
maintaining good public relations, keeping current in professional
appraisal practices, reviewing statistical sales analysis, preparing
evidence and defending contested assessments, maintaining the Market
Drive system, preparing and submitting all required reports to the
Wisconsin Department of Revenue, and performing related work as
needed. Minimum qualifications include a thorough knowledge of
valuation and assessment principles and WI property assessment
laws/procedures; supervisory/office management ability; excellent
interpersonal skills; bachelor’s degree in business administration,
finance or a related field. The successful candidate must have
Assessor II certification.
