AGENDA:

1.)    Introductions

2.)    Mission

3.)    Legislative Day

4.)    New Business

Introductions

We introduced ourselves. There are a lot of dog lovers in the group.

Mission

We reviewed our mission and WAAO’s mission statement.

Legislative Day

Will be held at: Cavanaugh’s Esquire Club, 1225 N Sherman Ave., at 11:00am

A buffet lunch will be served. The cost is $12.

Jolene will brief us on the bills and how to get around the Capitol.

We will then meet with our legislators regarding bills that affect our profession.

There are 3 pending bills; the             Trespass Bill, 74.37 fix, and High End Senior Housing Exemptions

We would like at least 50 assessors to attend. The thought of going to Madison to talk to legislators is a bit intimidating to most people. So we thought of ways to maximize attendance.

-It would help if people could team up with each other and go together.

            -We will encourage car-pooling.

-There will be sign up sheets available at the December Quarterly meeting.

-We will produce an issues summary sheet for people to leave with the legislator.

-Correspondence will be sent to SEWAA

-An email will be sent to all WAAO members.

New Business
